Abstract. | Fifteen women with osteopenia / postmenopausal osteopenia (55.5 ± 2.1 years old) participated in a strength program for a period of 5 weeks (twice a week). Both at the beginning of the study and at the end of the study, the clenching force of the fist was measured, using the JAMAR dynamometer. At the end of the study, there was an increase by 11.8% in handgrip strength in the dominant hand compared to the initial test, p < .001 and by 15.3% for the non-dominant hand, p < .001. |
